Everyone knows when you wake up you are taller. What if you got a date then took a shower, drove to the location 8 hours before, went to sleep, and woke up fresh and tall for your date. First impressions matter a lot so every inch counts.

I always wake up looking bad and have to take a shower

Maybe wake up half an hour before the date, take a shower and brush teeth would work best for me. Still not losing that much height after 30 minutes.
