Most Arabs holding J1 were killed in the berber revolt or absorbed beforehand. The Islamisation of North Africa was religious and cultural, not genetic. Only 2000 or so Arabs arrived to North Africa among the millions of indigenous Berber inhabitants that were already there. To this day the highest Arab % I've seen on a North African dna test is 4%.
For fuck's sake this has been discussed to death. The Genographic project is not talking about ethnic origins but about recent admixture. It's been shown ad nauseum in paper after paper that 30-40% of Tunisians derive from the Arabian peninsula in the Islamic invasion.
And your last study is old and outdated from 2010. From like 2000-2015 all papers were saying that North African berbers and Arabs do not differ much genetically, so therefore they're all Berbers. This is the exact argument of your paper, where it says: "The close genetic relationship of the two Arab-speaking populations with the Berber-speaking samples could be explained assuming a small number of Arabs..." So literally: they're similar genetically therefore they're all Berbers! Then after 2015 all the papers are saying actually the history of migrations in North Africa is very complex, that the Berbers themselves are a heterogeneous group of North African people, and there's no difference autosomally between berbers and arabs in North Africa because all these groups have been marrying each other for 1400 years.
