Basically the theory is the gap between the molars will allow your mandibular condyle get displaced vertically leading to chin height.
I’ve only seen one post on this by some other person that gave me the idea
Bruxism leads to short chin. Btw this guard does exactly what you want it to do. Only the front teeth come into contact(where your insiscors are)
Also this might lead to facial upswing since contact with the molars leads to longer midface?
