Who else had been fucked over by genetic recombination?

When I hear people mentioning genetic recomb here it's usually in a positive light and that when they're subhuman it's because one of their parents were.
But in my case both my parents are average looking people and I got brutally unlucky and ended up a subhuman. Anyone else share the same fate?
