Than Ramanujam and the other shitskins living next to him.

Imagine if Von Neumann went on a trip in africa.
Triple digit IQ difference lmao

who gives a shit? money doesn't solve math problems

also, lol at "self-taught" ramanujan when he normally attended indian educational institutions

Cant believe youre seriously comparing Von who attended one of the most famous Gymnasiums in his country and had advanced tutors assigned to him, to a dilapidated town where teaching was mere formality. Ramanujan was only exposed to formal mathematics at age 10 as well

just compare their accomplishments, man. sobbing stories dont make history, merit does

Neumann would have roped if he was born to african retards. he wasnt autistic enough.

Von mogs accomplishment wise, prodiguous talent-no

true, that's where einstein is #1. ramanujan is just a cute side-character in this whole story, just like terrrence tao

maths prowess is in inferior measure of intellect. the fact that indians can be good at maths is proof

Von Neumann is exceptional because he had both, you have people like Fermi saying he could calculate 10 times faster than him, adding infinite series in his head.
When George Dantzig brought von Neumann an unsolved problem in linear programming "as I would to an ordinary mortal", on which there had been no published literature, he was astonished when von Neumann said "Oh, that!", before offhandedly giving a lecture of over an hour, explaining how to solve the problem using the hitherto unconceived theory of duality.
Ramanujan is still very impressive, one in a billion maybe, given his mathematical upbringing and to answer the subject of the topic the gap was probably larger between him and the slums of india than between von neumann and the bourgeoisie of Budapest

Not our place to comment. Some autists in chess or music would have probably btfod everyone else in physics if they were born at the right place and time, with the correct upbringing. GR would have been formulated anyway sooner or later, and Euler's formulations are invoked now for application, even when it was all just theoretical at the time. Einsten gets all the praise for being at the right place at the right time , not to take away from his talent.
