It took the whole world to stop two countries, Germany and Japan. Even in 1945 as all fronts were collapsing, USA suffered more casualties and their massive army was nearly encircled by the German army in the Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge). Movies like Fury are utter fiction, because it was mostly other way around. U.S. and Soviet tanks could not even penetrate some of the German tanks armor. Germans had the first assault rifles, first fighter jets, had camos on their uniforms, essentially the first modern army. Even the space race Soviets and U.S. had was thanks to Germans, U.S. even made Werner von Braun the chief of NASA, because he was the top expert on rocketry in the world after having made rockets for German army.
Imagine Germany had invaded Afghanistan, Taliban would've asked the conquerors for permission to go to the toilet.

Yes, and so did the Soviets. Whatever the Germans had going on in the 30s is a stuff of the miracles. From one of the poorest countries with smallest militaries in 1930s beginning to one of the richest countries with the best military in the end of 1930s. It's unbelievable.
Not to say that the Soviets didn't achieve a similar miracle in the same time frame, but it was more so based on slavery and blood at that time, and Soviets were hardly considered innovative.

Ok, I didn't know about the STEM universities, and weird if true.

Poorest countries - a resounding yes. 7 million people were without work. A lot of people were barely subsiding, and it wasn't because of the 1929 stock market crash. People were suffering before that, although there were some signs of recovery before that. People burnt money and used it as a toilet paper, Weimar was absolutely ravaged by the war reparations entente demanded, which were like 50 trillion or something insane that would be enough to collapse Germany all over again. That was the goal of the entente, to make sure Germany would never be a genuine threat or a economic powerhouse. Germany recovered from the 1929 economic crisis by mid 30s because they stopped playing by the rules bankers in USA set for them, and stopped paying the insane war reparations. Other countries like France and UK were basicly bankrupt in that time, while German industry started to blow up from the growth which can be largely credited to Hjalmar Schachts economic genius.
You don't understand that people didn't come to hail Hitler's name because he was so scary or because they hated jews so much. The average germans loved him, because before him they had been begging for work and lived in shitty apartments, while he built affordable, but quality housing and provided work which would allow them to buy all the luxuries people in France or UK had. He restored the pride to people, who had been forced to commit deplorable acts like prostitution and theft to survive.

It would not have happened regardless. Germany was strangled by reparations and debts that entente had put on them unfairly, as Germany didn't even start the WW1. When Hitler came to power, the payments stopped and recovery could begin truly. However what can be said is that Weimar had some collaboration with the Soviet Union as they were both outcasts in the global political theatre, and Germany could develop things like fighters in collaboration with the Soviets, but it was all fairly small scale.

Karl Dönitz, the successor of Hitler was given 10 years in prison, because Hitler chose to give him the leadership after the suicide. He committed no war crimes, he was just a admiral. Iirc even some allied admirals stood up for him, otherwise he would've probably gotten even harsher sentence.
Rudolf Hess, Hitler's second hand man spent rest of his life in prison after flying to britain in 1941 to negotiate a peace. So did Speer, Hitler's architect who pretty much just designed buildings. Countless examples, men who had outlived their usefulness were thrown to dark dungeons for the rest of their lives, when guys who designed weapons etc. were taken to U.S. and it was like nothing ever happened.

Also since you brought up communism, US and UK gave Eastern Europe to communism, they even waited for the Soviets to gain more ground in Eastern Europe before moving themselves, U.S. tank general Patton complained that Eisenhower didn't give him enough gasoline, because Eisenhower wanted Soviets to reach Berlin first. Basicly the allies had decided way before the end of the war, that Soviet Union would be given large territorities in Europe to colonize and spread their toxic ideology to. Soviet Union doing what the nazis had done had the full blessing of the western allies, because UK and USA liked the soviets.
