So this post is in reference to one of the most legendary posts on the site IMO, from @BucketCrab

Male Archetypes Spectrum

In the post, he references five different general archetypes, each ranked on the following dimensions:
Male respect: ⬤
Perceived trustworthiness: ⬤⬤⬤⬤⬤
Female attention:
The five archetypes listed are Cutecel, prettyboy, robust prettyboy, maesthetic, dom, and ogre. (Going from most feminine & neotenous to most masculine & mature)

Some argue that this chart is useless because it doesn't take into account PSL scores and is thus useless for sub-5s. Others say that the archetypes doesn't take into account weird combinations of masculine and feminine features.

Both of these are not true. Everyone falls into some category at some level, some people just fail at their archetypes. For example, people with high mixes of masculine and feminine features that don't go very well together still fall into a general archetype that society perceives them as, they simply don't follow the archetype well which creates lookism bias against them, but the same archetypical principles still apply to that individual.

What I discovered is that many currycels have very feminine features, either falling into cutecel or prettyboy categories but they are really hairy. Despite the original post even saying cutecels have no hair, if you zoom into the picture of the cutecel displayed even in the post, the guy has hair.

What I found out is that people with cutecel, prettyboy, robust prettyboy, and maesthetic features that are ALSO capable of growing good facial hair can hid a significant portion of their weaker lower third causing them to be judged under the DOM archetype. This specifically applies to hairy curries. The issue is that when you are in an archetype, you are judged to the standards of that archetype so a 5 6' curry will have a extremely hard time pulling off that archetype compared to just shaving and playing into a softer archetype.

Archetypes are powerful. They are the way people perceive you and if you are able to morph between archetypes by shaving, trimming to subble, or growing into a full beard, you have an advantage in the marketplace because you can change your looks depending on what the goals for that time period in your life are.

For example, if you are trying to get a job with no experience, trying to get it clean shaven even if you are subhuman is going to be leagues easier than if you try to get the same job no experience with DOM facial hair and have the expectations to be well set in your career and looking sharp.

Similarly, when dating, it's more strategic to have stubble even if you are a cutecel because it would put you in the robust prettyboy territory since neither cutecels nor prettyboys have facial hair and if it has enough density, it can pass without looking bad.

Curries with facial hair have the advantage in other words of being able to switch between cutecel/prettyboy - robust prettyboy - and DOM, but you will be judged to the standards of others in the same archetype so be prepared for that.

In fact you may lose in every single category, but you still have the advantage of versatility depending on the situation like a chameleon. It's a weapon if used right.

Cutecel

"Main features: Cutecels are characterized by extremely low dimorphism and extremely high youthfulness; they usually have perfect skin, perfect hair quality/quantity, and very frail, immature physiques, and no facial hair whatsoever.
These factors make them highly appealing to teenage girls, who would be intimidated by more masculine, dimorphic and mature archetypes. They represent a safe way to be introduced to romance and sexuality, however they begin quickly losing female appeal as girls approach the end of puberty.

Male respect: ⬤

Female attention:
Age 16-20: ⬤⬤⬤⬤⬤
Age 20-30: ⬤⬤⬤
Age 30-40: ⬤
Age 40+: ⬤"
Prettyboy
:

"Main features: Prettyboys share many commonalities with Cutecels, with a caveat; they present some dimorphic features that are unseen in Cutecels. For example, while they also have good skin and hair, their faces have slightly more pronounced dimorphic features; a more chiseled jawline, more deep-set eyes, overall sharper facial structure.
Their body, while not muscular by any means, is usually more slender than frail, and they are generally taller than cutecels as well. This combination of masculine and feminine features grants prettyboys unmatched appeal with young women, although many older women may consider them too immature for their taste.

Male respect: ⬤
Perceived trustworthiness: ⬤⬤⬤⬤⬤

Female attention:
Age 16-20: ⬤⬤⬤⬤⬤
Age 20-30: ⬤⬤⬤⬤
Age 30-40: ⬤⬤
Age 40+: ⬤"
Robust prettyboy

1712981018577

"Main features: Prettyboys that double down on dimorphic features may enter Robust Prettyboy territory; these prettyboys may present some additional dimorphic features such as facial hair (kept relatively short), but the main difference is an overall increased muscularity and sense of physical dominance. While their physique is generally still very lean, proportionate and slender, they tend to have a more pronounced V-shape and increased levels of perceived bodily dominance and athleticism than normal prettyboys. This proves to be beneficial, as their appeal is more long-lived than prettyboys, at the cost of being slightly more intimidating to very young women.

Male respect: ⬤⬤
Perceived trustworthiness: ⬤⬤⬤⬤

Female attention:
Age 16-20: ⬤⬤⬤⬤

Age 40+: ⬤"
Dom

1712981366809

"Main features: Unsurprisingly, Doms are all about dominance. Muscular bodies, thick beards, body hair, tough demeanour, tattoos and a tan are all very common among Doms. This archetype embodies raw masculinity and danger; it relies on a rugged exterior, a rough voice, and a commanding presence to elicit primal responses in women. Dom is an archetype reserved to older, more mature men, as many of the features that are required come with age, and as such it is very popular with older women; however, this archetype can also somtimes be perceived as low-class by women from cultured backgrounds, and its association with maturity makes it often unappealing or excessively intimidating for young women.

Male respect: ⬤⬤⬤⬤
Perceived trustworthiness: ⬤⬤

Female attention:
Age 16-20: ⬤⬤
Age 20-30: ⬤⬤⬤
Age 30-40: ⬤⬤⬤⬤
Age 40+: ⬤⬤⬤⬤⬤"
Example:
1712981658484

Dom --> Prettyboy leaning robust
a lot like young Keanu Reeves simply from the density of his facial hair shadow still remaining after shaving. If he kept it stubble he would be a robust prettyboy by definition.

Example of failing archetype switching:
1712981838160

While he evidently has feminine features, because of hairline recession, clean shaven he FAILS his archetype, but the baldness is significantly more acceptable under the DOM archetype even though the weakness of his face coupled with shitty too long hair on top subtracts PSL massively from this archetype.

Unfortunately some of you guys may be stuck to a single archetype because facial hair is the dimorphic feature that lets you change appearance massively here, but if you are blessed you may have the option to go cutecel -- robust prettyboy -- dom for example. Hope this helps.

Why even bother doing this for curries?
Unless chad bones and pale skin they all fall into the "creeper" archetype.
