My consumer one certainly didn’t give me skin burns like your pro one. But I’m pretty sure it could if I flashed the same area enough times.

I also have my suspicions that these things activate melanin and might not play nice with retinol or MT2. I have only used mine for hair removal (well, reduction) on my torso so far and it seems to be slightly more tanned than the rest of my body.
