How much could crooked incisors affect the aesthetics of the jaw?

Yesterday I took some pictures of myself and was disturbed to see my side profile. I don't usually take pictures of myself, and upon reviewing my profile I realized that I looked too retracted. This made me feel very depressed.

My teeth are straight on top, but underneath, I only have a pair of front teeth mounted on top of each other, which, I think alters my bite a bit.

Can this be true?

It's amazing the difference I notice when I force my teeth forward just a little. The only thing that makes me think is that this crooked tooth is pulling my jaw back.

What do you think I should do?

I've thought about going to the dentist; maybe I can get braces right underneath it. I don't know. I don't think I need maxillofacial surgery because my bite is well positioned; it's just one tooth that's causing me discomfort and pushing my jaw back.

Here is a picture of the teeth I am referring to.
