I won’t pay rent here - I would only rent in another UK city where it’s more affordable - I have enough for a decent deposit on a 1 bed flat now so if I moved out I’d buy - but I’m still considering whether I want to to stay here long term or maybe move somewhere else again.

On £55k right now - was on £50k before which is probably like £70k on london weighting but I’m at a much smaller company now doing a more senior role. My previous job set me up for a nice lifestyle and was pretty low stress but the actual work was insanely boring and think I can progress more in this new role but don’t wanna discuss too much detail Openly on forum- shoot me a dm if you want to discuss details as I think we’re doing similar stuff

You made the right call by staying with your parents. Spending half your paycheck to pay off some boomer's mortgage or giving up your shekels to some slumlord for a house share is one of the cucked things you can do. It’s a bit more when you consider I also - paid for the hotel (about £100), and two drinks each (think about 30 quid for this but can’t actually remember).
