And good cameras tend to have the autofocus feature so you don't have to setup the focus point every time, and you can use burst mode to take hundreds of pics quickly to find the very best one. You should also edit your pics with lightroom or luminar to improve the lighting and your appearance a bit, don't do any major changes but make the photo look as realistic as possible so that when she meets you she isn't disappointed.
