Oral or topical minoxidil?

I got a bald spot on the top of my head from Trichotillomania hair pulling. beenvthere for months now. derm said my skin was just inflamed and blocking hair growth. should i use oral or topical minoxidil for best results? also whats the best length for a dermaroller for the head hair?

at first betamethasone dipropionate cream (0.05%). I felt like it wasnt much then found out betamethasone valerate 0.1% caused 75% hair growth in 61% of the test subjects so asked my doc to prescribe me it.
