Are oatmeals healthy??

They are high in fiber and low in glycemic index, but people say they contain some phytic acid that strips off minerals.

Alot of mixed opinions about it, and I'm genuinely curious.

They lectin and phytic acid but get reduced when u heat them up

Don't eat raw oatmeal tho like unless heat-treated or milled.

Soaking them for some time help too (removes majority of phytic acid )

Eat less Phytic acid becz it can block the absorption of certain minerals meaning anti nutritent take as less as u can

That what source says

In my view, they're healthy because It's high in fiber and has a low glycemic index, which means it can help keep you full and satisfied while providing a slow release of energy.

But don’t over complicate things, just try to eat balanced healthy as much as possible and don’t go in excess try to hit a healthy manageable calorie goal.

Yes, every grain/plant strips off some minerals and vitamins out of your body but they usually have way more pros than cons as they don't really strip a lot of vitamins n minerals

I didn't expect it to be like this.

Also not all rice is healthy, only basmati and brown are actually not high glycemic.

I eat most of these frequently, very solid picks.

Also I'm too lazy to make bone marrow I just eat the bones like they are, is that bad?

Potassium
Potassium is not exclusive in spinach, dates, bananas and watermelons are also very good sources of it.

bananas dont have a massive amount of potassium, you would have to eat like 12 to get your daily needed intake lol.
Bananas are cool overall but not that nutritious that they would need to be a part of your daily diet. I like them because they are convenient to use with greek yoghurt or milkshakes they just arent anything special

For me bananas are great because they are Soo sweet in taste.

And just like you said, combined with yogurt and some nuts they make a great light meal.

My main source of potassium is dates, beans and some veggies.

12 won't even cut it, this figures include the skin of the banana, nobody eats that shit, 50 percent bioavailability. Only eat fruit for it's sugar and vitamin c, that's basically it

yeah dates are pretty solid for potassium

I love bananas too because they taste great and are useful with other foods, but there are fruits that completely outshine them by a mile nutrition wise

Depends on what fruit. Kiwi is great, i eat it with the skin. It has pretty much the same amount of potassium as bananas, has more vitamin C than oranges, one has enough for you daily intake, it has a very good amount of vitamin K etc.. If you have to pick a fruit berries and kiwis are crazy good

You literally said what I said word to word, just added "muh just eat in moderation"
Not really, I rephrased what you said and explained why it's actually a positive rather than a negative.
