pretty much the same situation i was 2 years ago

i would recommend starting with a light cal deficit and ofc doing exercise

honestly im just desperate about getting lean bc i dont want to spend my 18s locked in my room

The only way to get out of being skinny fat is to dirty bulk up until you have enough muscle to do a deficit tbh, or else you will just be a smaller skinny fat

not great at least in my experience

i got fucking stretch marks, my acne came back and i felt like shit during the time i did it

even if it takes longer, a more controlled cal deficit is way more reliable tbh

if your 20% or higher bf with low/mid bones then its quite noticeable

I say First do a bulk for three months with maintenance calories instead of a calorie surplus so you don’t gain to much weight. Then if you see some good progress cut for 6 weeks and then hop on a bulk.

I wanna look lean for my first week in uni really
 
Many say gain muscle before lean but I disagree. You're best off getting Lean first (under 12% body fat) then building on from there because the issue is even if you gain the muscle it'll be very minimal and you'll lose the gains when dieting for your eventual cut.

Sucking cheeks will get you hollow cheeks. Not weight loss
