Temptation is something all men and women alike deal with. Different calibers and different situations call for different types of temptations.
The word temptation is defined as the following on Wikipedia, “Temptation is a desire to engage in short-term urges for enjoyment that threatens long-term goals”. But, most people associate the word with sexual deviance. Lust and temptation are like bread and butter — they fit together gracefully. In this essay, I will explain why I believe temptation is worse for a man than a woman.
A man is born into a world where sex evades him. He has to chase it. He has to chase the female body’s sexual organs lest he die a Virgin. On the other hand, a woman is born into a world where sex seeks her out. She has to choose carefully which men she chooses to “let in”. So where does temptation play a part in this? I will explain;
Sex for a man is a trophy. A win. A success. A thing in which gets topped off with a pat on the back. Sex for a woman is a loss. She gives away her body. She sacrifices an egg. Her curtains are opened and all that is inside her house is displayed. Temptation hits a man and woman differently. A woman is always being sought out, so she is used to the thought of potentially being fucked at the end of a long day. But, a man? He is rarely ever sought out. So, if it so happens that a woman seeks him out, even if he is married or in a relationship, it will take the most holiest of spirits to get him to say no to that slutty pussy that aches for him.
Simply put, a man is never wanted. So, on the off chance that he is wanted, it is going to be hard for him to refuse the offer. A woman is always being chased, so if she gives in and cheats on her boyfriend, it is less sensible and more shameful as she has been sought out for her entire life — there is no excuse to say yes to the invitation.
Now, do not get me wrong; infidelity is wrong no matter the case. If you are in a committed relationship you should pray to God that he grants you the strength to abstain from any sexual depravity (such as porn, flirting, etc) and avoid even speaking to a person of the opposite sex. In the workplace, men and women usually mingle, and this is the place where MOST INFIDELITY happens. A man or woman chats up a coworker and eventually it turns to flirting and eventually that morphs into sexual deviance.
In conclusion, temptation is of evil, and men and women need to steer clear and tread lightly when the fumes of lust seep through the earth and into their nostrils. For a woman, temptation is bad, but for the man, temptation is death. Do not accept the invitation, hug your loved one and wait for the storm to pass.
