why do I like to have hour long conversations with myself and pretend I’m someone else

I talk to myself and respond to myself as if I was a whole different person
I used to do this when I would have two phones and text myself but then that phone got shut off I couldn’t pay it anymore so I just started having conversations with myself. Make no mistake, the other version of me isn’t bias. He is a doffferent person and sometimes we get along a sometimes we dont
