why is nobody talking about theese two orthodontic devices?

the palate expander is a good way to increase the maxilla's width, in order to get more space for upper teeth. the counterpart of the palate expander is the "jaw expander", a device which enlarges the lower third and creates more space for crooked lower teeth.

if your jaw is forward recessed, the "pull headgear" makes it grow until it's aligned with the maxilla.
