- Have a healthy body composition. Alternative is to be chubby and sport a nice, long beard and go for the “bear” look.
- If there’s any disease or health condition that needs to be taken care off, don’t be complacent and take care of it!
- In any case, work your body! Not too much cardio, not too much strength training. Find a balance, give yourself a rest day and an active recovery day.
- Eat clean, fresh produce and have a weekly cheat meal if you’re consistent to treat yourself and keep that metabolism working.
- Get loads of sleep, and say goodbye to those eye bags. Also, the more we sleep, the more our brains can grow, so sleep also grooms you well from the inside!
- Water. You’re more than 75% made of that stuff, so not replacing your water when you lose it through different processes will essentially mean you’ll shrivel-up like a sultana and expire.
- Not many think of this one: Groom your eyebrows! They’re probably overgrown and unkempt. Don’t let your eyebrows turn into caterpillars, you’re not Eugene Levy!
- Facial scruff is a no-go, facial stubble is OK. If you can pull it off, clean shaven is even better. Whatever you do, if you’re a beard type of guy, at least make sure it’s looked after and use beard oil!
- After you wake up and before you go to bed, cleanser + moisturiser. It’s advisable to give your face a rest once every 2 week from product to keep the skin healthy.
- Same goes for the rest of your body. A great body lotion can do wonders and prevent you from developing old man’s skin too early on!
- Use a deodorant. If your deodorant smells like chlorine, then get yourself one that actually smells nice!
- Find yourself clothes that not only fit, but that are also “in the vogue”. Don’t spent too much on fashion, but a shop every 4 months or so is definitely OK!
- Perfume. Just please, don’t go for Fahrenheit unless you’re over the age of 60! Tom Ford is one I’d recommend.
- Shower at least 3-4 times per week to not smell like you’ve just left the gym whilst gobbling down on a slice of Roquefort cheese.
- When you do shower, use a decent body wash, shampoo and conditioner. This way, your hair will feel and look great, and your body will smell nice. A generic Nivea smell isn’t usually the best call!
- Haircut every 2-4 weeks, lest you’ll start looking like a human mop and will probably turn into one!
- Brush your teeth at least 2x daily. If you drink loads of coffee, use mouth spray. Nothing’s worse than opening your mouth and having it smell like the bottom of a refuse bag!
- When winter comes, use chapstick. Lips like to crack. Keep your lips happy, and they’ll put a smile on your face, quite literally
