I'm sure we've all had experienced some more normies talk about skin care, or seen TikToks talk about jaw exercises, and even worrying they might stumble into some more serious shit, raising the standards for all of us. Here's some data regarding our concerns.

  • The global men's grooming market is forecasted to grow 6% annually in the next decade (3 years = 19%; 5 years = 34%; 10 years = 70%)
  • 15% of men use cosmetic items, most of them are under 35 yo.
  • 56% of men between 18 and 34 have a daily skin care routine, as opposed to ~35% in 2020 (fuck)

  • 39% of Americans go to the gym
  • ~55% of gym goers are male
  • ~31% of gym goers are between 18 and 34 yo.
  • The fitness industry is growing at an annual rate of 8 %
  • 62% of gym goers attend fitness clubs 2-3 times a week
  • 40% of gym goers abandon their workouts within 6 months of joining the gym

  • 0.002% of American men had major surgery in 2020, 27% lower than 2000
  • 0.27% of American men had minimally invasive cosmetic procedures in 2020, 8% higher than in 2000
  • 0% of men had breast augmentation
  • In 2020, only 12% of invasive procedures were on 20-29 yo., only 4% of non-invasive
  • The proportion of any cosmetic intervention for 20-29 yo. has decreased by around 16%
In conclusion, unfortunately the average man is taking a bit more care of themselves than they used to, but they won't be chugging pills anytime soon. You're kinda right to be worried, but if you claim normies will be commiting to surgery anytime soon you're a schizo.

average man in 2023 is uglier than the average man in 1980 even though they did none of those things.

honestly a lot more men are coping with porn and video games than they are improving themselves, looksmaxxing will still grow though. i've seen videos with looksmaxxing in the title get 500k+ views

Sure, it'll grow, but not remotely to the extent the paranoid schizophrenics on this sub are claiming it'll grow at. Also keep in mind, a solid chunk of them 500k+ viewers were likely doing mental masturbation. Still overall agree though

true but it wouldn't surprise me if this site goes up to 100k members in a few years

i find it crazy that less than 2 million men use skin care that shit isn't even some obscure blackpill that's basic hygiene

Nah, normies won't gather in some esoteric low-quality incel cite. They'll flock to normie subreddits, normie channels, and normie tiktokers.

>6% of men between 18 and 34 have a daily skin care routine

Not sure how you landed at the "less than 2 million" number

it said over 1 million millennial men use skin care, if it was anything above than 2 million it would say over 2 million

You originally said "less than 2 million". It's much more than 2 million.

Well maybe the testarone globally was higher back then and androgens in puberty correlates to forward saggital growth and ppl used to work out more back then but as far as I'm aware ppl back then didn't get as much surgery and a lot of males now get it ultimately it should be normaolzied

It was always there, just that it was a luxury behavior

Metrosexuals were doing it earlier

The autism was there even before that, I remember even in the 90's gyms were still full.

People arent really doing surgeries because its not that effective. Once it actually produces results then the floodgates will open.
