Humans are far from a unique on earth, despite what they think they still possess the monkey brain that their primate ancestors possessed. No matter how great the fortifications they have built they still fail to overcome their base instinctive nature.
They claim to be separate from "animals", claiming that they created something greater a society with morals and principles. Sure, It cannot be denied humans have far greater cognitive function than their animal contemporaries, you could even say humans have overcame their base troglodytic nature, enumerable acts of great compassion and kindness that have been recorded by the annals of human history, stand testament to this view. Humanity who once were indistinguishable from the cesspit of animal that ruled by the way of tooth and claw, have evolved to become something greater than a beast looking for it's next meal.
But if humans were being true to themselves, their base nature still remains the same. The desire to find the most successful mate still remains one of humanities most primary desire, the desire to reproduce and pass their genes on will forever remain.
