I want to get braces, but I don't want my face to become recessed and sunken due to the retractive forces of braces.

I heard that typical orthodontists don't care about anything else but getting your teeth straight. That means typical orthodontists will ignore the possibility that braces can ruin your face, cause recession, narrow smile and reduced the tongue space (NOTE: Those are proposed problems by John Mew and Mike Mew).

So, what type of a specialist/orthodontist should I visit to avoid this fate?

Do I need to visit an esthetic surgeon (not to get any surgeries), someone who understand what facial harmony is and will consider way to maintain the facial symmetry and features without having them changed or deformed by the braces treatment?

I want the best of the best. So, where do high-profile celebrities go to get their teeth straight? I want to go to the same place so I can be 100% thing will be fine and no damage will be caused.

Thanks.

None, those are only shills by Mike Mew. Do say what you want, even if it seems autistic. Something like "leave me good looking please" or "i dont wanna get recessed, is there any way to x"? My orthodoncist fixed my side profile (still an incel) without even asking, but you should probably ask. And if you can get your mouth wider (if its super narrow) it might actually give you a square face with a little device. But thats just me. Measure yourself and try yourself what dimensions would be ideal without disrupting everything else. If you already have a wide mouth its probably something to do with alignment rather than space, or viceversa, dunno. Don't wanna get "too wide"

Can you become recessed even if they don't extract any teeth?

It depends on what you mean by "recessed". The jaw can't become recessed, because all teeth are there and there is no free space (extracted teeth) where the other teeth to be retracted in. However, i think braces can still create the illusion of recession if they pull your front teeth backward.

Currently, my front teeth are straight like this symbol: "|". However, i think if i get braces, my front teeth will be tilted inward like this symbol: "/". So, imagine the symbol represents a tooth, the lowest part of the symbol is the lowest part of the tooth and the upper part of the symbol is the connection between the gum and the tooth.

I'm afraid if such tilting happens, this is make my lips appear flatter and my lower pact of the face - sunken.

Would you show before and after images of the jaw fix? How did braces fix your jaw?

And, yes, i would like my upper (and possibly lower) palate to be expanded outward. Is this possible with shape-memory braces? I don't want bloody and brutal surgeries. Are there any non-invasive, brutality-free devices that can help me? I'm an adult with completed bone development, meaning i'm no longer growing and developing.
