Why do young white boys like Rap music so much?

It seems like a brainwashing or conditioning. They feel programmed to listen to it. They should be listening to stuff like Def Leppard or good Country style music. Rap music is for another demographic . Whenever I see a young White guy blasting the Hip Hop, I feel like he is a lost soul.
