You can easily overload calisthenics using weights. And if your argument was valid, then explain how people have been able to build muscle using calisthenics.

Why waste your time doing calisthenics? Lifting weights yields faster results, it's harder to induce progressive overload doing weighted calisthenics as you're limited to the amount of exercises, you'll likely end up overworking yourself by hitting the same muscles unintentionally day after day.
