I've also heard that the like american viewers who see ads are worth more than other country viewers

you might not get that much out of it but better than nothing


I would negotiate the profit share, its only translating it and you put much work into them and for him it is one hour work (2hours max if he triple checks everything) per video

the value he brings is just showing ur stuff to non english slavic speakercels and translation

80 - 20 he probably would refuse, maybe 70 - 30

Just my opinion:

Not a bad deal. As long as you’re credited so your channel and social media can still grow. There should be a legal process that secures your share of the deal. Also establish an agreement that allows you to end the collab at any time that avoids him from translating any more videos while still getting paid from videos he already translated, this give room for reevaluating and renegotiating down the line. Talk to a legal expert tho, lol at asking this on here

Also if you’re not sure if it’s the actual person legit check to see if the engagements on his channel authentic and contact them back on their channel or whatever social media linked instead of replying directly to that message

I’d negotiate a lump sum per video used instead. And the more popular your videoes become the larger you can bargain how much he needs to pay. Imagine your videoes reach millions of views in two years time and you are still going 50/50 on revenue on his dead channel, you’d be getting ripped off. It could be something like £25 per video for now since both of your guys channels are small.

Also you won’t know exactly how much revenue your content will have produced on his channel. He could easily rip you off.

Translating and and dubbing a 20 min video would realistically take you like 4 hours

I have transcribed my own videos for captions in English and it takes fucking ages, 2 hours minimum. And then 1 hour to dub it
